Pre Applied HDPE Waterproof Membrane Plain

A pre applied hdpe waterproof membrane plain is a multi-layer composite waterproofing material for superior waterproofing performance.pre applied hdpe waterproof membrane plain It consists of a layer of thick HDPE film, a self-adhesive polymer layer and a unique particulate layer that can bond with concrete.

It is designed to bond fully and permanently with the concrete poured against it after placing and tying reinforcement. This ensures that the gap between the membrane and concrete is completely sealed and water cannot seep into the structure. It also prevents the formation of a gap between the membrane and the backfill – a common cause of leaks in below ground structures.

Henry’s line of pre-applied membranes include a wide range of products to meet the specific needs of each project. These product variants differ in thicknesses, widths and lengths as well as surface particulate finishes, adhesive strengths and release liners. They all provide the benefits of avoiding the need to use hot bitumen and torches on-site, and they can be installed quickly without compromising quality.

Whether you are working on a commercial or residential project, the building envelope is vital to protecting your investment and keeping it in good condition. Henry’s pre-applied waterproofing solutions protect the building against damage and leakage, saving construction and maintenance costs throughout the life of the building.

In addition to providing a watertight barrier that protects the building envelope, our waterproofing systems can help to enhance indoor air quality, reduce energy costs and extend the life of the structure. Our systems are easy to install, require little maintenance and are backed by an extensive warranty.

Apply a primer to the substrate and allow it to dry completely prior to membrane application. Install the HDPE membrane over the prepared substrate, using a trowel to achieve a smooth and consistent finish and a minimum of 14 inch (6 mm) laps. Mechanically fasten each membrane sheet to the adjacent sheet with a minimum of four fasteners along the marked selvedge and blue zip strip, being careful not to penetrate the waterproofing.

Overlaps should be positioned at least 3 in. (75 mm) along the green selvedge and overlapped firmly. Seal the lapped corners and terminations with detail tape and/or patching compounds as recommended by the membrane manufacturer.

Pre-applied HDPE membranes can be used to waterproof both concrete and masonry substrates, including precast slabs, in-place concrete and cast-in-place concrete foundations. They can also be used for waterproofing of underground projects and in other applications where a durable, reliable membrane is required. They are available in various thicknesses, widths and lengths to suit the needs of each project. The multi-layer, multi-component waterproofing membranes are easy to install, durable, and resistant to abrasion. They are also environmentally friendly, non-bitumen, and contain no heavy metals or other harmful substances. They also feature excellent aging resistance, tensile strength and elongation. They are available in a variety of colors to help identify the location of penetrations, joints and construction seams. They are easy to clean and can be easily re-used for future waterproofing projects.
